Run Olly Run

I recently upgraded my camera to a DSLR I used to have a fujifilm compact, Which I may add is a very good camera with a 15x optical zoom I was impressed by its picture quality. If you've looked at my youtube channel you'll se the video quality as taken from a One direction concert both in different places and from quite far away in some of the videos. I wanted to upgrade though as I wanted to have an SLR as I want to take photography seriously.

Ive upgraded to a canon 1100D which so far seems a lovely camera I had a little play with it and caught a few snaps of my dog running up and down. Using continuous mode I captured my dog playing. I love some of them as his face is quite amusing and as hes a sharpei breed if your not familiar with the breed name they have wrinkles, and when running his face is very loose and its just great to capture.

Just added information My cute little pooch is named Olly when in trouble i use Oliver as a joke haha

But I hope to get some more pictures up soon as I have alot in the pipeline

such as wedding photography etc.

Jessie j drawing 2012

Last year I drew the wonderful Jessie j its a classic picture of her with her trademark bobbed hair and British flag lips.
If you are not from the Uk you may not be all to familiar with who Jessie j is.
She is a British singer who has sung the likes of (price tag, domino etc)
Recently she Shaved her head to raise money for comic relief. I think she looks stunning and I intend to draw an uptodate version of her .
For now though this is the Drawing I did last year of her.




I wanted to make the picture look more creative and artistic
so I used Charcoal on the hair and blended it out
To make it different to an oridinary portrait.

Louise (sprinkle of glitter) drawing

In my previous posts I have shown you drawings of Alfie deyes (pointlessblog) zoella and joe sugg (thatcherjoe) all of which are youtubers.
To add to the mix I also drew Louise of a sprinkle of glittr

As previously stated I also love photography and latley I have been trying to get into it more and hope to promote myself a bit more. Ill be photographing wedding and have that as a pole start for me. over the past weeked the weather was beautiful which might I add is a a one off in the uk. But I took the opportunity to grab a camera and pop along to a local riverside to capture some pictures and play about with the camera.
The day was lovely apart from me locking my keys in my car boot meaning I had locked myself and my dad out of my car. However I find things like this amusing so instead of paniking we called for help and thankfully managed to unlock my car (phew) haha.

After the slight disaster we ventured on and there is some lovely places to take pictures such as embankments, old broken brickwork,and the land all varies so there is plenty of opportunity for capturing some lovely scenic pictures.

I thought I'd share some that were taken.
All credit goes to John Lewis (whose also my dad)  for taking these great pictures of me.

Selena Gomez Drawing

 

I have recently had a song in my head that I thought was really catchy that being Selena Gomez's new song (come and get it).
Then just browsing online I came across a few snapshots taken from her music video that goes with the song. Having a little look at the pictures I thought they looked quite interesting to draw so I gave one of them a go.
This picture in total took me about and hour and a half. I started this time with just a simple outline of her eyes, nose and mouth and then added the rest as I went along.

Starting with just her facial features I worked from
there outwards



 

I quite enjoyed drawing her eyes as there is alot of
definition to them which is different to other eyes
im used to drawing.


 

Although her head looks a little weird and a bit like
shes been flattened I decided to finish her face and then
add her hair etc after.




 



The finished outcome with her hair and upper torso complete
I like to draw heads and then add shoulders etc rather than a full body
as I feel I can get indepth detail in the face and have that be my main
focus. However I do also like to draw whole body as it gives
me a challenge.

Harry styles drawing 2012

 

Last year after I had created the drawings of all of the 1D boys I came across an image of Harry that I thought looked quite good to draw as it was the first time his hair was quiffed and alot of people seemed to love the original picture so I thought hmmm I fancy giving that a whirl.
at the time I didnt think to take pictures of my progress looking back I wish I had done.
instead of adding it to the other one direction post I thought i'd just add it in a short post.

As im a big youtube lover and watch the lovely zoe sugg Aka Zoella or Zozeebo on youtube (see posts for my zoella drawing). I decided to draw the lovely Joe sugg, Zoes brother Also known as Thatcherjoe on youtube

Joes channel is mainly entertainment really he does challenge videos and collaborates with other youtubers. As im drawing I like to take a picture of my progress as I would record it but sometimes a drawing takes a while and I often go into the picture again and touch up etc.

Zoella Drawing

Im a huge lover of youtube infact you might say ive forgot what TV is as youtube is my main entertainment now. I love watching everything music to fashion to make up tutorials.
one of the things I always watchis beauty and vlogs.
I spend hours catching up on videos one of the people I love to watch is Zoella.
shes a girl who talks things beauty, fashion and often does haul videos of her current thingsare worth the hype to buy.

Drawing beyonce

I've recently been loving beyonce and was watching her current tour on YouTube when I thought I might as well draw her. I had a brief look at images of her as I wanted something up to date and current. There was multiple images I liked but the one I chose just looked interesting and I loved the fact it was a close up and just focused on her facial features.



I started from the eyes and work out



I really liked drawing her lips as strange as it
sounds as there was alot of tones involved

                                 
I always draw my outline first and pinpoint where her main features are then I go in and begin
adding the details


the drawing as a whole took me about 2 hours to complete as the original picture was panoramic and
when I originally finished the picture I wasnt happy with the outcome so I decided to add her name to take away the sharp cutoff point.

One direction drawing from last year 2012

Early last year I began to get really into drawing and often fancied having a little sketch when I was bored and I found it quite relaxing.

At the time I had a one direction calendar which had perfect portraits of each if the 1D lads also taking into account that they were storming the world I thought hmmm I'm going to give them a whirl. So I decided to draw each of them individually. I thought drawing them I could then show them to people knowing that I stood a good chance of people knowing who they were and people taking more interest.

I took my time on each drawing making sure I captured detail and tones trying to make it look like the original picture.
I enjoyed drawing Niall the most as he didn't take me as long and I find him quite easy to draw.
I'm sure everybody has a favourite and I do too and strangely enough I dislike drawing him the most
Any guesses........ It's none other than Harry, I just find him hard to get right his hair is an impossible task haha and I find his facial features a pain to get right. I spent ages on him as I could never quite master his eyes or his smile or the shading but with much patience I settles feeling happy with the result. It's not the only drawing I've created of the boys as recently I did an updated drawing of them for a little girl whose a massive fan. So stay tuned for a blog post on that drawing of all the boys together for now though here is the finished drawings of the 1D boys that I've put together using pic stitch on iTunes. Bare in mind there all individual drawings.

What to expect from my blog

I really love drawing its one of my favorite subjects in art I love portraiture drawing, I love to draw interesting things I find drawing peopole or aninals or subjects really inspire me. Ilove drawing peopole as I feel that every face is different E.G eyes,mouth,face structure, the shading and tones are all different as well so I never get bored of drawing people, im a huge animal lover infact when I was a kiddy wink I wanted to be a vet, However figured it wasnt a wise choice as i'd cry at every injured animal so I decided to not go down the animal route.

Aninals have different faces altogether some long some furrier than others they are all different.
I feel like I can express alot through drawing as its can be quite self expanitory.

I also really enjoy photography so im hoping my blog can be a place to share my work with you and hoping youll enjoy it too and that I can get my name out there.
ill often update on recent drawings ive done and theres also the option for you to have a drawing done as well all is explained in the links at the top of my blog.
